In this vital role, the Production Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of production employees in a manufacturing, assembly, and warehouse environment.
This position plans and assigns work, implements and enforces policies and procedures, and recommends continuous improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions.
This Production Supervisor drives improvement in safety, quality, service, and productivity within their department.
Key Responsibilities Promote a strong safety culture and demonstrate a zero tolerance for non-compliance with safety work practices, policies, and regulations.
Work closely with the Quality team to ensure all product quality standards are met and ISO processes are followed.
Ensure effective employee relations.
Evaluate employees and provide regular coaching and development.
Make employment decisions including hiring, orienting, and training of production employees to ensure a competent workforce.
Resolve employee issues through problem resolution.
Recognize good performers and take corrective action when needed.
Balance safety, quality, service, productivity, cost, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.
Work to continuously improve in all categories.
Make recommendations to improve yields and reduce waste, labor, materials, and maintenance.
Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls, and provide regular progress reports to manager on departmental KPI performance and countermeasures.
Develop, monitor, and ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions in all activities and operations.
Ensure SOP's and WI's are of sufficient detail for technical content, accuracy, completeness, and flow.
Audit and review as necessary.
Monitor adherence to the daily production schedule in a manner that prevents order delays and maximizes utilization of production employees.
Partner with peers in other departments to drive an efficient order flow between departments.
Promote open dialog with employees to develop continuous improvement feedback/actions.
Manage the material inventory locations within the department, ensuring inventory accuracy.
Oversee shift reporting process for the department, ensuring 100% accuracy.
Work with the Supply Chain team in the creation of bill of materials for parts to be produced.
Assist in the procurement of materials to be utilized in the production of finished goods.
Coordinate material movement and communicate paths necessary to meet shipment schedules.
Support and monitor continuous improvement projects, utilizing lean principles.
Required Education and Experience Associate's degree or equivalent experience 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment Prior production supervision experience Knowledge of workplace safety (OSHA 10-hour certification preferred) Experience scheduling in a job shop environment is a plus Ability to utilize problem solving tools such as CI, Kaizen, Lean, 5S, 6 sigma, etc.
Possess strong oral and written communication skills Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) Experience with ERP systems.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
